SEVEN REVELATIONS OF FAITH

Everything you have from God you received by faith. Faith is the key to victory and to holding on to what God has given you. Each day you make a choice to use faith.

You choose to believe in the invisible power of God to bring miracles to pass, or to believe in what the natural world is saying about your circumstances.

The faith God wants you to have is the kind of faith that sees invisible, believes the impossible and does the incredible!

Let me share with you seven revelations of faith set forth in Book of Hebrews 11: 1-6:

1. Faith enables you to receive substance: HEBREWS 11: 1 declares:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for ...”

Faith is - not was or will be. It is present tense. If faith is not in the present, it is not faith. Hope is mental, but faith is spiritual. Hope is the product of the mind, while faith is birthed in the hearth. (Romans 10: 10). Faith brings that which is of the spirit into your material world and gives it substance.

2. Faith enables you to receive evidence: HEBREWS 11: 1 declares:

“Now faith is... the evidence of things not seen.”

When you live by faith, you become so empowered by the invisible world that it is evidenced in your daily walk with God. You are no longer controlled by visible, but you are influenced by the spiritual. Your actions are not motivated by what you see with your physical eyes because faith operates beyond the natural senses. You see things from different perspective because you view everything through the “eyes of faith”.

3. Faith enables you to obtain good report in the sight of God: HEBREWS 11: 2

“For by it the elders obtained a good report.”

How does God view your life? That is all that really counts. Like the Old Testament elders, when you live by faith, you obtain a good report in God’s sight.

4. Faith enables you to understand spiritual things: HEBREWS 11: 3 declares:

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God,

so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

”Through Faith we understand” - this means faith gives understanding.

You cannot explain how healings happens. You receive your healings by faith,

and you keep it by faith ... not by understanding.

5. Faith enables you to offer God a more excellent sacrifice: HEBREWS 11: 4

“By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which

he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts.”

Faith enables you to offer God a sacrifice of praise that is not dependent on your emotional and mental state. The Word says in ROMANS 10: 10 - “For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”  So faith is an exercise of the heart, not the mind or emotions.

If praise is mental or emotional, it is not true praise. You must praise Him from your heart. Your circumstances may not be the greatest, but you can still use your

“eyes of faith” and praise Him from things unseen.

6. Faith enables you to be translated from the natural world to the spiritual world

The Book of HEBREWS 11: 5 declares: “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him.”

God is more interested in your spiritual growth than in your comfort.

He permits problems in your life so you will continue to grow in faith and as in Book of ACTS 14:22 - “Through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.”

God knows if your focus remains on the visible, your attention will not be on spiritual. God wants to deliver you out of your mess into the miracle He has for you - and this happens by faith, Faith translates you from the darkness to light, from bondage to liberty, from the world you are in to the one where you ought to be.

7. Faith enables you to please God:

The Book of HEBREWS 11: 5 declares: “By faith Enoch was translated...

for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

Faith enables you to please God what is declared in the Book of HEBREWS 11:6

“Without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that he is rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

HOW DO YOU RECEIVE THESE REVELATIONS? - BY FAITH.

So it is important that you develop your faith. God gives you a measure of faith, but you must increase it. Faith is essential, for Scripture says that you cannot please God without faith, so you must develop it.

In Romans 4, the Apostle Paul describes the development of Abraham’s faith. Abraham wasn’t always strong in faith. For example, he was fearful and lied to king Abimelech. On another occasion, he was unbelieving and produced Ishmael by Hagar.

Abraham’s faith when ...“he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.” (ROMANS 4: 20-21).

Abraham was elderly and childless, but God promised him he would have a son. Then God changed his name from Abram to Abraham - which means “the father of many nations”. Image! Every time Abraham introduced himself to someone, he was saying, “I am the father of many nations.” Each time Abraham spoke his own name he was affirming God’s Word - and his faith continued to grow and develop.

Faith develops by hearing and by believing God’s Word. (Romans 10: 17).

As your faith develops in these seven areas of revelation, it produces results.

The results of faith are:

1. Justification (Romans 5: 1)

2. Security (I Peter 1: 5)

3. Answered prayer (Mark 11: 24)

4. Healing (James 5: 15)

5. Victory (I John 5: 4)

6. Purity (Acts 15: 9)

7. The ability to walk by faith and not by sight.

    (II Corinthians 5: 7)
