POWER OF   PREVAILING IN PRAYER II

JOHN 15: 1-   declares: "I Am the true vine and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean through the Word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I Am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him. bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."

Here we can find the most powerful promise dealing with prevailing prayer. But it is possible only when we abide continually in the Lord. He is  secret to great prevailing prayer, He is the secret for He is declaring: "If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you." Like a branch has no independent life of its own so even our prayer life become the outcome of His life in us. Even our prayers are results of His life. Jesus said: "If we abide in Him and His Words abide in us.” Prayer is outcome and result of His life in us. Abiding presence of Christ in us produces prayer. It is the secret of prayer life. Continual fellowship with God is the key to victory in prayer.

Prayer must function in you properly. I am not talking about repeating words, empty words, vain repetition. I am talking about prayer that is born through the life of God. You cannot seek God till God sought you. PSALM 80: 18 declares: "Revive us, Lord and we will call upon Your Name." You cannot call upon the Lord till you are touch in the inner man. Pray always in the spirit. That's why Paul the apostle said: "Pray all prayer and supplication in the Spirit." In the Spirit doesn't mean in tongues for prayer with the unknown language is with the Spirit. "Pray with the Spirit and Pray in the Spirit." First is Prayer in the unknown tongue. There are three different forms of tongues. In Acts 2, tongue that was understood, in Acts 14 tongues that were mystery.

And it's the tongue that is equal to prophesy that edifies the church. First Paul says that it is a sign to the unbeliever, it is tongue that is understood. It's the earthly language. They heard them praising God in tongues. Now there is the tongue as mystery. Tongue that is only for privacy with God and for God. None can understands. And there is the tongue in the assembly for the edify of the church. So when we pray with the Spirit we pray in unknown tongue. But prayer in the Spirit is prayer under control and leader-ship of the Holy Spirit another word it's prayer with the Spirit. You can pray without words. The prayer in the Spirit is the prayer born by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 6: 18: "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit ..." It is under leadership and control of the Spirit. It is not with the Spirit . It is in the Spirit.

This prayer is result of the outcome of the life of Christ in you. This will produce:

  1. Revelation of you to yourself.  ISAIAH 6: 5 declares: "I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips." That is revelation that I am a sinner standing before Holy God Almighty, the LORD. But God shines in you and reveals Himself to you in His Holy Bible. He reveals to Moses, remember? He said to him: Look at your nature, it's sinful. Prayer reveals who you are to you. All that you might depend on the Lord. Lord, I can't make it, it's nothing in me good that you really want. God reveals us to ourself in order that we may throw away ourself and say that You are the one whom I depend upon. He teaches not independence, He teaches us dependence for He said: "Blessed are the poor in spirit."  In true dependence it's true independence. Upon the Lord you become free of all. When you depended on Him you are truly liberated. Prayer is that outcome of that life of Christ in you. You cannot pray in the flesh. For what is born of the flesh is flesh indeed. God has to touch us. If we allow the Holy Spirit to quicken us, we start to pray with the power of God. Go into your closet and wait until Spirit quickens you.
  2. Prayer has power to cleanse our hearts from sin. PSALM 19: 12, 13 declares: "Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression." Prayer has power to cleanse our hearts from sin. When you pray God begins to clean you up. True prayer born by the Holy Ghost will reveal you to yourself  and will clean your heart from dominion of sin.
  3. Prayer has power to hold you in God's paths. PSALM 17: 5 declares: "Uphold my steps in Your paths, that my footsteps may not slip." Prayer has power to hold you up and keep you walking with the Lord. David prayed that prayer believing God will answer it.
  4. Prayer has power to govern your tongue. PSALM 141: 3 declares: "Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips." True prayer will bring these results to you and you will keep your tongue upright.
  5. Prayer has power to open your eyes that you may see wonderful things of God. PSALM 119: 18 says: "Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from You." Prayer has power to reveal the Word of God. When you pray God will reveal Word.
  6. Prayer has power to bring the Holy Spirit in all His fullness on your life. ACTS 2: 4 declares: "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." On the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit fell on all 120 disciples waiting in prayer.
  7. Prayer has power to bring salvation to others through you as you pray.  I JOHN 5: 15 declares: "And if we know the He hears us whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

Seven results of prayer in the Spirit.

  1. Prayer has power to cleanse you from sin,
  2. Prayer has power to hold you up,
  3. Prayer has power to govern your tongue,
  4. Prayer has power to reveal yourself,
  5. Prayer has power to open your eyes to the Word,
  6. Prayer has power to bring the Holy Spirit,
  7. Prayer has power to bring salvation to others through you.

The most powerful thing you can do with your mouth is to pray. Prayer can do anything God can do. Do you believe God can do it all in you? God can do everything and you do nothing. Prayer is omnipotent when we say that prayer can do anything God can do. Nothing is impossible if you pray. All things are possible with God.

But praylesness is a disease. The reason the people don't pray it’s because they are sick. They are sick in the spirit. Praylesness is the disease of spirit. Praylesness is a sin of man. Samuel said: "I won't sin against You by not praying to You." Praylesness is not our weakness but it’s a disease that must be dealt with.

Let's look how praylesness begins.

  1. Praylesness enters into life when fear of God leaves. The fear of God keeps us praying.  Why should you pray? That is found in Book of JOB 15: 4 what declares: "Yes, you cast off fear, and restrain prayer before God." Result is restrain prayer. When you cast off fear of God, you restrain prayer before God. Lack of fear of God is the presence of praylesness. Why do people don't pray? Because they don't fear God.
  2. Praylesness enter into life because they do not delight in the Lord.  JOB 27: 10 - "Will he delight himself in the Almighty? Will he always call on God? Why he should call upon Almighty when he is not delight in God?
  3. Praylesness enters because people have no knowledge of God.  PSALM 14: 4 "Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge and do not call on the LORD? Prayer is born out of the knowledge of God in your life. When is no this people will not pray. Why they have no knowledge of God, why should they pray? Prayer is the result of Fearing of God, Delighting in God and Knowledge of God.
  4. Praylesness enters when people become tired of God.  ISAIAH 43: 21, 22 "This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise. But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; and you have been weary of Me, O Israel."  It is possible for people to be weary and tired with relationship with God. They do not call on God because they are tired of God and weary of Him. Praylesness sets in then.
  5. Praylessness enters when people become hard-hearted.  JEREMIAH 10: 21 "For the shepherds have become hard-hearted, and have not sought the Lord; therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flock shall be scattered." When your heart is hard you won't pray.
  6. Praylesness enters when people turn back to their old life.  ZEPHANIAH 1: 6 - "Those who turned back from following the Lord, and have not sought the Lord."  The danger is to visit your old territories for same devils that you use to know are still living there. You not belong there any more. When you turn back-prayer will die. Do not go to your old life and old habits for your prayer life will die.
  7. Praylesness has powerful and destruction results.  JOB 21: 17-21 declares: "How often is the lamp of the wicked put out? How often does their destruction come  upon them, the sorrows God distributes in His anger? They are like straw before the wind, and like chaff that  a storm carries away. God lays up one's iniquity for his children; let Him recompense him, that he may know it. Let his eyes see his destruction, and let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty. For what does he care about his household after him, when the number of his months is cut in half?" Clearly we see here no forgiveness from God to those who say: "Why should we pray? "Without confession of sins there will be no forgiveness" said K. Khulman. "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just and He will listen and He will forgive. If we pray He is faithful and just and will cleanse us from all uncleaness." But when we do not pray and confess our sins God will not forgive us. For without confession there will be no forgiveness. Will be no blessings upon your life and your eyes will see destruction. And also your children will reap the results of praylesness and when people do not pray they bring destruction to themselves and their children. So let us go back on our knees so the blessing of God will come on ourself and on our household.

One needs to realise how dangerous praylesness is. It's not something we may take up when we feel like it. We should pray now! Pray this pray ”Father, in the Name of Jesus protect me from praylesness. Dear Jesus, forgive me for the times I neglected You, forgive me for the times I did not pray. Dearest Jesus help me, anoint me, give me fresh hunger for prayer. Amen.”

As you pray, as you seek the Lord, things will happen in your life. Movements in the heaven are restricted by the movements on the earth. The will of God is governed by your prayer. God's will is governed by prayer. The Book of EZEKIEL 36: 37 declares: "I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock." Says the LORD your God."

So God shows us His will but will not perform it until we pray and ask Him. So His will is governed by the prayer life of saints on earth. That is powerful. There is the secret will of God and there is the reveal will of God. DEUTERONOMY 29: 29 says: "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the Words of the Law."

The secret will belongs to God and only God knows them but revealed will belongs to us and we must fight and declare gods word under the authority of Jesus and in His name. It is that will that can not pass without your cooperation. You must pray to bring it.

So what is God's will that is revealed?

It is the will revealed through the Word of God. You read the Bible And you will find out His will for your life. It His will to save so none should perish, it's His will to heal, it's His will to bless; it's His will to restore and on. PSALM 103 contain the fullness of His will. This Psalm got headlights of God's will. "Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name! Bless the LORD, O my soul and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. He made know His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgression from us and as father pities his children so the LORD pities those who fear Him.”

It is revealed will of God for our lives. None of those will be ours till we ask for it. Prayer governs the revealed will of God. I JOHN 5: 14 declares: "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us ... " He hears the prayer what is born out of His will. The revealed will of God is the will we have to pray to bring it into reality.

We have the promise and we bring that promise into existence through prayer.

So prayer than is according to His will. That's why movements in heaven are restricted by movements on the earth. You remember; "Your will be done on earth as is in Heaven." God's will in heaven is revealed and acted upon the earth through His Word and acted by your prayer into existence. We must read the Word. As we read the Word we discover His revealed will for us. After we discover His will we know that He answer this prayers that He promised to answer. So God says: "HE HEALS ALL YOUR DISEASES" you have the legal right to ask Him to heal me from any disease and sickness. God says that. "HE WILL SAVE MY LOVED ONES"

You have the legal right to ask for that. you will take what His will is and say: Father, You said and promised it, so therefore I ask in the Name of Jesus will You fulfil what You already said You would. In Jesus Name I ask. Amen.”  But you have to pray it till it happens and it will happen. Don't stop pray till it happens. Faith is the substance. For we read the Word and we see it is promised by God and we pray it. You start to pray and you focus on that one promisee that you want badly. You pray: "Father, you said or Jesus, you said" And next day the same. Father, You said therefore I ask and next day the same. The Word of God says: Delight in the LORD and He will give you the desires of  your heart."

So I have certain desires but I can't find them in the Word specifically. But I know that God covers them by saying: "He will give you the desires of your heart."

When your faith become substance you will know about the answer that will come. Faith is the substance and substance is the spiritual matter. So you should pray, pray and pray and one day God will says: IT IS DONE FOR YOU!

Prayer once becomes substance because now you are praying in God's will. It will bring you river of blessings. JEREMIAH 31: 9 says: "They shall come with weeping, and with supplication I will led them. I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters, In a straight way in which they shall not stumble; for I Am a Father to Israel."
